With the weekend right around the corner, here’s a guide to some events you might want to check out.

1. MOVING THE MURAL

WHERE/WHEN: Diamond Bar Public Library, 1061 Grand Ave., Diamond Bar. Saturday, February 11, 2 p.m.

WHY GO: The tile mosaic mural that has graced the entrance to the Diamond Bar Library is being moved to the new location, and conservator Amy Green will share just exactly how this will be accomplished. As a special treat, the original artist, Frank Matranga, will also be on hand to talk about the mural.

PRICING: Free

2. PETER PAN ON STAGE

WHERE/WHEN: Suzanne Middle School, 525 Suzanne Road, Walnut. Friday, February 10, and Saturday, February 11, 7 p.m.

WHY GO: The classic tale of Peter Pan will be told by the talented students in the Suzanne Middle School Fine Arts program.

PRICING: $6 - $8

3. FAMILY NATURE WALK AT EATON CANYON

WHERE/WHEN: 1750 N. Altadena Dr., Pasadena. Saturday, February 11, 9 a.m.

WHY GO: Gather the family together for a morning in the fresh air. The nature walks at Eaton Canyon take place every Saturday, with walkers meeting in front of the anture center building. Don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen.

PRICING: Free

4. QIGONG/TAI CHI IN GARFIELD PARK

WHERE/WHEN: Garfield Park, Stratford Avenue and Hope Street, South Pasadena. Saturday, February 11, 9 a.m.

WHY GO: Relax your mind while spending 45 minutes to an hour practicing Qigong/Tai Chi in the park. Regular practice can reduce stress, ward off illness, and build endurance.

PRICING: $10 - $20 (sliding scale)
