Man Arrested After Chase to Diamond Bar
An Upland man was arrested after leading authorities on car chase that ended in Diamond Bar.
DIAMOND BAR - A 35-year-old man who led Upland police on a car chase that ended in Diamond Bar was in custody today.
An apartment security guard called police Thursday night about a man acting suspiciously, said Upland police Lt. Cliff Mathews, adding that a dispute occurred before the suspicious man took off in a vehicle.
The chase of a 1997 Honda Accord started around 10:50 p.m. in the area of Arrow Route and Central Avenue in Upland and continued onto the westbound 10 Freeway, Mathews said.
The crash ended at 11:02 p.m. around Diamond Bar Boulevard and the 60 Freeway, according to a dispatch operator for the sheriff's Walnut/Diamond Bar Station. The suspect, whose name was not released, was arrested on suspicion of felony evading police and being under the influence of a controlled substance, Mathews said.
Matthews declined to say how the chase ended.
